School...

I can't believe that it is already the middle of January, but it has been so great! I'm so happy that things have been going so well with all of the changes that we have had to make. Both Brian and I started school, Brian at UVU he's going to be majoring in Gaming and Animation with a minor in Pre-engineering.

I start at American Beauty Academy, for those who don't know, that is a cosmetology school. I'm absolutely loving it!!

I have only been going for a week and I feel like this is what I'm supposed to be doing. It's coming so easy to me and I can't be more thrilled. I'm so glad that there is a lot of hands on learning right from the beginning. I already learned how to do a one step color and have started learning how to weave. I have also learned how to do facials. I feel like I'm learning at warp speed but I am loving it!! While Brian and I are at school my wonderful sisters are watching the kids. The girls are loving all the time they get to spend with their cousins, although the little mister is having a harder time. He is such a momma's boy that he is having a little bit harder time adjusting. I really hope that they continue to love all the time the get with cousins while we are in school. The only hard thing is not being able to spend a lot of time with the kids on a daily basis, but we are making the most out of the time we get with them.

Other than school there isn't much going on in our lives. I'm trying to train for a marathon but I seem to be having a hard time running like I should be. I have really loved the warmer weather this winter, but am way afraid that it's going to get really cold and that will make running even harder. I will try to keep up more on how things are going in our lives. Until the next time!

I can't believe it has already been six months since little man was born! He's already crawling, and thinks its the best! The only downside to him crawling is I have to keep on the girls to not eat anywhere but the table, something they are not used to. He is the happiest baby ever, and I am so thankful! We are loving him more and more everyday!

What a week it was hosting!! It was so much fun I can't wait to do it again. It all started on Sun. 24 when we picked up the girls that we got to host. It is a little weird at first, (since this is the first time that we have done it) but that changed quickly. We did a ton of this during the week other than their performances every night.

On Monday we went to 7 Peaks and had a blast. It was extra fun because I was able to go without my children, (thanks to Amanda and Steve how took the girls most of the week) and to my mom who watched the little man, I in turn drove the girls she was hosting down there. I got fried that day and am peeling from it now. It was so worth it. Later that night we went to the street dance, which ended up getting cancelled because of a storm. I wish I had a pictures from this day but sadly I do not.

On Tuesday we had a pick nick at Kelly's Grove and than we went to Payson to spend time with Alisha and the 2 girls she was hosting. We got sno cones, a first for the Belgium girls and then we hiked the Grotto. When that was all done we went back to Alisha's and had hamburgers. Than back to Springville for the first night of performances.

On Wednesday we hiked Stewart Falls. It was as amazing as I remember. Granted it was a little bit harder to hike it than I remember. That may be because I had was hiking with both a baby on the front and backpack on the back. I really loved being able to get out and hike. It's been a long time since I have done any of that. After the hike we went to a cabin and roasted hotdogs and than had s'mores. Another thing that most of the group had not done. When we finished up at the cabin we went home got showered and than headed back to Springville for night 2 of performances.

Thursday we went to Park City. We went to the Olympic park and than to the outlets for some shopping. The girls went off and I was able to hangout with my mom and sister. We had fun. We had to leave a little earlier than some of the group because my mom needed to get back early to go to a dinner at BYU. We stopped real quick at my house and than again at Amanda's to pick up Brian who was dropping off our girls for the night. Then to Springville we went for night 3 of the performances.

Friday was the day we spent in Salt Lake City. We first went to South Jordan for a performance that the group had. I had a good share of the groups flags on my car so we had to be there early. Those flags are not as light as they make them look. There are quite a few of them that are weighted. When the performance was over in South Jordan we had to put the flags back on top

of the car, stop and get lunch and rush to the Conference center for a tour of Temple Square. I think everyone was late getting there. We didn't have a lot of time between the two places. I can tell you now, NEVER take a tour at 2pm of Temple Square in July. It was so hot and I'm pretty sure that there were some in the group that got heat exhaustion. We finished the tour early (thanks to Alisha who made them end early) because we had to get back down to Springville by 6 for a group dinner and no one wanted to be stuck in rush hour traffic. We had dinner at the pavilion across from the Arts park. It was great! We also sang Happy Birthday to Carlien (whom we hosted) and Jamie (who hosted some girls). Than to the performances we went.

Saturday was a much more relaxing day. We all slept in!! It was so nice! We than met my mom and Alisha and went shopping again. I can never again complain about buying mascara because it cost nearly 20 dollars in Belgium. crazy huh? We went to Walmart so the girls could get the food they needed to make us a meal for Sunday. We dropped them off at the park at 4 for pizza party and left and hit a few more stores. Than back to the Arts park for the last night of performances.

Sunday was the most relaxing day of the week. We all slept in really late. I got up and made pancakes for breakfast, than to my parents house we went so the cooking could begin. We had the most amazing meal and I can't wait to get the recipes! After dinner as all done we went to Amanda's to sit in the hot tub. It was so nice to be able to have a nice relaxing night.

Monday we had to be up at 5:30am so that we could be ready to go at 6:00. They had to be in Springville at 6:30. I'm surprised that we got there on time considering that I am not a morning person. Their bus was supposed to arrive at 7:00 but it was late which gave us a little more time to say goodbye. I wasn't expecting to cry but I did. I really loved having Carlien and Johanna in our home.

Here's to hoping we will see them again! We really miss them! I'm so grateful we were able to be a part of this amazing group. I was able to get to know quite a few people in the group and will miss all of them!!

5 YEARS!!

I simply can not believe it has been 5 years since Brian and I go hitched! We have had so good times! I am so thankful to be married to such a wonderful man. Who would've though that 5 years ago we would have 3 amazing children, who just happen to be super cute too! We didn't do anything special this year since Brian had to work. I did however manage to get him something little. I'm so happy to have the rest of forever with Brian!

So Trae has said a few things lately that have been really funny. My favorite of them being

"Dad I ate you, now I'm going to have to find a new daddy and I'm going to have to talk to the voice in the sky." We were at Walmart one day when she heard someone over the speaker and called them the voice in the sky. I absolutely love the things that kids say. She has really been expressing her feeling a lot more too. She tells people all the time that she loves them. While Uncle mark has been year she has attached herself to him. She tells us all the time that she loves her Uncle Mark and that she is going to miss him while he is gone. She will sign I love you with Grandma and Grandpa Archie. It's so cute. One of my favorite stories to tell is one day Brian woke up and all he saw was Trae standing over him sipping out of a cup staring, she didn't say anything when he looked at her she just kept sipping out of her cup looking at him. He was a little weirded out by it. I think it's funny. I'm going to try and post some of the funny things that the girls say.

African Culture Night

For the last few weeks Brian has been tutoring a guy in his math class. So last weekend he invited us to the African Culture Night at UVU. It was a lot of fun. Christian was kind enough to get us in for free too, which is always a bonus. I absolutely love different cultures and it was a ton of fun to see different countries from Africa be presented. They also had a Miss African Utah Pageant, which is what highlighted some of the countries the most. Here are a few pictures of some of the groups that preformed. The guy in the front is Christian.

The program ran long which wasn't really surprising, however the fact that the girls were good for so long was. They were most excited about the drum. They think they are magic drum because of an episode of Diego. The drums were one of the last performances. I'm so glad we had the opportunity to go.

We are happy to announance we are having a boy. I'm due May 31st!!! We are all so excited. The girls are starting to understand a little more that there is a baby in my tummy. I'm 19 weeks and can't believe it has already been 5 months, half way there! This little guy didn't want to show us what he was it took a lot of bugging to get him to move into a position so we could see. He also didn't want to show his face, he would turn or put his arms right infront of his face. It was very different from either of the girls. They both wanted to show everything they had. We are super excited for this new little addition!

Brian's Brother Danny and his wife Angelyn just moved to Germany. This is where they are stationed for the next 3 years. We will miss them! I hope they have many fun adventures and have lots of stories to tell us when we see them again. WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Brian's youngest Brother asked him to baptize him on Saturday. It was such a great Baptism and very short. I loved it! I'm so happy that his youngest brother made the choice to be baptized. It was so nice to be in Vernal with all of the family!

For Trae's 3 year picture I went and took them myself. I'm not real impressed with most places that do photography, they don't like what you suggest and so they don't do it. I've had some crappy experiences so I want to try it myself. I think I did a decent job. Trae was so good, and I was able to get a few good shots. I love her and can't believe that she is nearly 3. She is growing into a beautiful girl. We are so happy to have her in our family and are excited to watch her grow and learn. HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!!!Adi let me take a few of her with Trae. Weekend Fun

This weekend was super crazy but so much fun. Friday night we went up to the Heber Valley Camp for a Berrett Family Reunion. We got there about 9ish and then hung out until bed. We did get to see some of the meteor shower. I can't say it was worth watching but we did get to see a few good ones go by. We did have a good scare with Adi though. She had been climbing threw the ladder on the bunk beds when all of a sudden she fell. All we heard was the crash and the sound of something breaking, the floor is cement and I was sure she was seriously hurt. We rushed to her made sure she was able to move before I picked her up to asses the damage. When I picked her up we noticed a small deck of cards in a plastic case. The case is what we heard breaking. Amazingly enough she was fine. I was more shaken up than she was. I was asking her basic questions like where is dad and who am I? Stuff I knew she could answer. She answered them perfectly. A few minutes later we saw a bit of blood on the top of her head where she had landed on the case. She had a good scrape it just broke the surface enough for it to bleed. We watched her for a little while just to be sure that she was fine about five minutes later she was running around the room again. I was still shaken up and quite worried all the rest of the night. The next morning Laura (Brian's mom) took the girls for us and let us sleep in until breakfast was ready, It was so nice of her. After breakfast was done and cleaned up we went to the challenge course. We had a ton of fun. Our first challenge was getting all of us over a wall.

we did a few more courses and then we were able to do the the tightrope and zip line. Of course this was everybody's favorite.Brian wasn't able to stay and do the challenge courses with us so as soon as he got back we loaded all of our stuff in our car and took off. We also brought his little sister back so she could stay with us for the week. It was already after 4 and we were supposed to be at a dinner at 5 with one of our home teachers and his family. We knew we would be late so we made sure to call them and let them know we were going to be late. We got there just after 5. We had a really great dinner and really enjoyed getting to know them better. After our dinner we went to my sister Alisha's for a movie sleepover night. We didn't leave our house until nearly 10. We had to stop by walmart quickly and then we were on our way. When we got there we put the girls in their beds and watched Leap Year. I thought it was a cute movie, however I'm not sure what Brian thinks. He doesn't particularly care for chick flicks. The movie finished some time around 1 and then we all went to bed. Sunday morning we got up and ate something then lounged for a while. Adi needed to be changed and Trae told me she want to do it. Surprisingly enough she did it all by herself. I only had to help her lift Adi's bum so she could get the diaper under it. I was surprised at how still Adi laid there and let Trae change her. She even threw the diaper away! She has asked me a few times now if she can change Adi. I love it!
We went to church with Alisha and I was so amazed at how well Trae went to nursery and she stayed the whole time, I don't think she even cried. I went in there between classes to take her potty and then left Adi too. They both were so good. I really enjoyed our lesson in Relief Society on the Priesthood. After church we got home and made lunch/dinner. While dinner was cooking I made snickers. You can get the recipe here. They are so good but very sweet! We played Settlers of Catan for a while than Alisha, Janica and I watched Dear John while the guys kept playing. We left around 11 to go home.It was so fun being able to spend time with Family and getting to know new friends.

4 Years

August 4 2010 was our 4 year wedding anniversary. We dropped our kids off at the Olsen's and spent a few days alone. We had a really good time! I love spending all day with Brian. I Love him so much and I excited we get to spend forever together!

What an amazing experience I was able to have getting to know this Group of Spanish Men. They were here for the Springville Folk Fest. It was so much fun being able to see them preform as well as many other countries too. I was able to spend a week getting to know them thanks to my mom and sisters housing them. Earlier this month my nephew was baptized and after we went to Salem Ponds to party. It was a blast! I'm so thankful we have such a wonderful family that is supportive of things. While we were there we were able to join another family for their giant slip-in-slide. Adi just loved it! She would smile this big every time she went down. She hated to have to wait for her turn even. She has no fear!

Trae like it but wasn't as into as Adi. I love that our girls love to play in the water it gives me an excuse to do so as well!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband. We are going to Lagoon today with his family it will be fun. Last night we dropped the girls off with my sister so we have the weekend to ourselves. We went to see Eclipse and then to dinner and the Greek place on state street. It was really great to have a great date with Brian. I'm so happy that we are still able to go on dates and really enjoy spending time with just us. I love you Brian and I hope that you have the most fabulous birthday. Our friends from Austin were in Utah visiting some family and we were able to meet up with them just before they had to catch their flight. They were some of the best friends we had in Austin. It was really great to be able to see them again and their little one. She was born after we moved back to Utah so it was the first time we met her. She was so cute all through lunch. Toothpaste Coloring!

Last Sunday our family went down to the Peterson's for dinner and games. While the adults were playing games we thought all the kids were watching a movie Alisha went to get something out of her computer room and then turn off the light in the bathroom and found Trae painting her bathroom with toothpaste. It was so funny. She has never done this at home, thankfully! However I'm glad that it was just toothpaste. It could have been so many other things. She had this sad look in her eyes when Alisha caught her, it was so cute. The things kids do can be so annoying or frustrating but I just had to sit back and laugh at this one. I was just shocked it had even happened!

It's been way to long.......

I am terrible lately at posting on my blog sorry.... Things have been crazy with moving and getting settled. It's been really hard moving from Austin I really loved it there even though I was bored often. There were so many great things about Austin and I am sad to have left but I know that we are back here for a reason. I don't really like Vernal but i can tolerate it for now. I love being able to spend time with my in-laws. They are great and very supportive of Brian and I. It's also good that the girls get to spend time with their grandparents. I am so glad that they are warming up to them. It's been nice to have babysitters to. I'm very appriciative that Brian's little sisters are willing to watch the girls for me. This last week has been so rough I got a major cold and luckly I had someone to watch the girls for me so I could get the much needed sleep. I got over it quickly and am very happy about that.

I can't believe how much in the last month litle K has started talking. The other day her Uncle C was playing a game and finished a level all by him self and yelled "I did it" K repeated him with nearly perfect. It was so cute. She is saying more words everyday and I love it. She is so fun to listen to even if I can't understand her a lot of the time. She's just so cute.

Baby A is still growing she's my little chunk. She's nearly as big as K but so cute! She is starting to hold the bottle all be herself it's been so great. For the most part she is a very happy baby and loves to smile. She will smile at everyone and she just has the biggest and cutest smile. I love that she has so much hair and I can actually put it up. Brian and I are lucky to have 2 beautiful daughters are just way to cute and way to much fun!

I'm am super behind on my blog. I have so much to write unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to do it at this moment. However I did want to write something short. I have really enjoyed this April. We had an amazing time with Danny and Angelyn in Austin! We did so many fun things that I will have to write about later. Than I decided to be spontaneous and take a trip to Utah to see the family! So far it's been great. I will write more about this trip another day. I'm so thankful I have such a wonderful family!

Easter Weekend

This Easter has been great! It all started friday when the girls and I got to go and hangout with Kellie. Kellie picked me and the girls up and then we went to lunch. Kellie was so sweet and brought the girls basket with matching outfits that are so cute! K had so much fun dipping her fries in ranch, I think she ate more ranch than she did anything else. It was so funny. We than went to the park. I can't believe how much fun K had, she was very daring and wanted to jump off the playgrounds. I had to watch her very carefully so she didn't get hurt, at times I felt like I was chasing her around everywhere, but we had fun! After the park we went to Kellies. Kellie showed K her pet, it's a battery operated gerbile. It was so cute. It rolled around the floor and K chased it everywhere even behind the couch. It was so fun to watch her. Brian came for dinner and then we had dinner and played games. It was a great day!

Saturday we went to our apartments Easter Egg hunt. A slept the whole time which was nice. K would pick up her eggs and say "yeah" it was so fun! She is just to cute!

Easter was great. We didn't do our easter egg hunt until after church and K's nap (only becuase we have church at 9) When we did the hunt after K's nap she was so excited for it. She had fun, she would open nearly every egg once she picked them up. It was a good day! It's fun that K is now getting into doing things like hunting for eggs and opening gifts. It makes holidays fun!

April Adventures

So far this April we have done some fun things. On April 1st we went to dinner with Gabriel and Brittany at this really good hamburger place in Pflugerville we than played games at their house. Finally went to Denny's to have some dessert. We drove all over the place looking for a Village Inn but they have all closed here. So we settled on Denny's by the time we got there it was midnight. Strangely both K and B (Gabriel and Brittany's baby) we awake and stayed awake the whole time. I was amazed. We had a great night! K had a Oreo shake mustache and we just had to take pictures!

Brian has been sleeping during the days because of his work schedule. I like it because it gives me a chance to get our of the house if I want to. So the other day I took the girls and went to the mall to play in the play area there. It was chilly and windy outside and I really wanted to let K run around and play. She had so much fun. Once she went down the slide once she was hooked. It was so much fun to watch her run around and play. We had a great time and I will have to take her back again soon!

Tornado Warning

Today we had a tornado warning. It was a new little adventure, we didn't actually have any tornado touch ground but we definately got the hail and rain. Brian and I watched the strom come in. It was a little cloudy today but still quite nice and then within like 15 minutes it went from nice to a down pour of hail. It was crazy. I've never seen it hail like that ever. It was nearly a white out from the hail.
We had a warning last spring just after we moved here but we didn't get anything other than winds from it so this was a new experience. This is just the start of tornado season to so I'm sure I will have many more stories to write about. We were really lucky to not have bigger and more hail and rain than we did. In one area they got 2 feet of hail and they had some major damage. We have a few dents in our car but that is all. here are the pictures I took of the hail. Bedtime

I'm so glad that I put K on a bedtime schedule, it has made life at nights so much easier. I am thankful that it didn't take long for her to get used to it. It's been so great to have some time with Brian at night without the girls awake. Now if only I could get Brian to help a little more with putting the girls down.
We went to San Antonio last weekend for a meeting, I stayed at a friends house. I was able to get K to sleep because she has been on her schedule. It did take a little longer but she actually went to sleep. I was so happy. I'm so glad that I started her on a bedtime schedule. I would be going crazy if I wouldn't have changed what was going on at bedtime. Yeah for bedtime!!!
I'm not super excited about putting K and A in the same room. It's going to be a huge adjustment for K, and many long nights for me. K is such a light sleeper that I'm sure when A cries she will wake up. It may be a month of so befure we start that but I can honestly say that I'm not looking forward to it.

Diaper Patrol

Just recently little K has wanted to help with all sorts of things, but the one thing she always wants to do is throw every diaper away. It doesn't matter if it is hers or baby A's. Today was so funny Brian was trying to distract her with an x-box controller. When I got done changing baby A, I asked her if she wanted to help mommy, she was so excited that she through the controller at Brian. It was hillarious! She is now on diaper patrol, it's great! I don't complain. She is becoming such a great big helper!

A day at the Park

Today was such a beautiful day so Brian and I decided to take the girls to the park. It was so nice that we didn't even need to wear jackets! Little K had so much fun. I think this was the first time she truly enjoyed the park, she could do everything by herself and she enjoyed her independence. Baby A got to just enjoy soaking up the sun and getting vitamin D! Brian chased little K all over the park it was so cute to watch them run around! I absolutely loved being able to get out of the house. Although I now have the chance to get out anytime I want. We finally got our other car registered...granted we have only had it here since January. Here are some pictures from our day at the park!

Today was the first offical day litle K got to go to nursery! It was nice because Brian had to teach Elders and I had baby A! She was so good, she didn't even cry when I left the nursery room! She's such a big girl!

In with the new and out with the old...

I've decided that litle K needs a new bed time routine, one that does not involve watching Little Einsteins and mom holding her until she falls asleep. So tonight began the new one. Brian and I decided that the tv would be turned off at 7 if not earlier and we would listen to classical music for the rest of the evening. So we did this. Tonight was easy becuase some of our friends came to visit us. When they left Brian went to bed and so I'm doing the new routine by myself. After I fed baby A and got her to sleep I turned on a cd of nursery rhymes and little K and I danced to them when that was over we read a few books and the listned to some childrens songs. I got this compilation of childrens songs when K was born and we haven't really listened to it much, it's a great cd they are made for bedtime. Anyway then I put her in her crib. Now is the hard part, because she is not used to this I have to let her cry herself to sleep. It's so hard to just sit and listen to her cry when I know that it would be much easier to hold her. I really hope this new routine works and she will learn to go to sleep with out crying. I'm looking at getting a little cd player for her room so I can stick the cd on and have that help her settle and put her to sleep! I just hope this works. It's going to be a long process but if all works at it will be very well worth it! Wish me luck!

Hugs and Sleeping

Last weekend Brian and I were invited to a birhday party for Gabriel and Brittany's neighbor Tony. As always the party was a blast! While there litle K found a friend who wanted to give her lots of hugs, it was hilarious to watch. The other litle girl almost pushed her down several times trying to hug her. They were so cute that I had to take some pictures of them hugging.

The other day I was watching something on tv while litle K was playing after awhile it got super quiet and I wasn't sure where K was. I figured she was playing under the kitchen table becuase she had been doing that most of the day. When I went to get up and check on her I found her asleep on the floor. Very rarely does she fall asleep without someone holding her. (A bad habit we are trying to brake) I thought it was so cute and had to take pictures of her asleep all curled up on the floor.

I love taking pictures of the girls and just can't pass up cute photos like this one! I love that baby A is holding the blanket as she is sleeping! She is so much fun! This morning she gave me such big smiles for like 5 minutes. It was fun to just sit and talk to her and make her smile without anyone bugging us.

I'm very blessed to have 2 wonderful girls who brighten my day with the little things!

A new calling

Brian recieved a new calling this week, it came as a complete shock. Earlier this week he gat a phone call from our high councilman and asked if Brian could meet with him during the 2nd hour of church. He didn't say anything else so it left Brian and I wondering. We both figured it was a calling we just didn't know what it would be. Well today when Brian and I met with him I was super shocked at the calling he received. He has been called to serve as a councelor in the Elders Quoram. Life has been crazy busy as it is so to have Brian be in this calling I know it's from the lord. I'm way excited for him to have this calling it will be such a blessing to all of us. Brian was sustained at set apart today so he is offically in the presidency. I love this gospel and know that we are truly blessed to be apart of such a wonderful organization!

Litle K's favorite things to do are read stories (with or without mom)and play with the toy she got from Grandma and Grandpa Archuleta for Christmas. Lately she will turn it on and then run away. I wonder if she's been hit in the head a few times by the balls popping out the top. Brittany and I laughed so hard last night when she stuck her head over the blow hole and got hit twice in the head one right after the other. What a silly girl!

Litle K is now obsessed with holding her sister. There have been some days where the only way to get her to calm down is to ask her if she wants to hold baby A. The only problem with her holding her sister is that she likes to point (which ends up being more poking) at her eyes and nose. She has learned what they are and will say eyes when she pokes them and she will say no when she points to her nose. It's cute. I love that she doesn't say the "S" on nose. It's funny to me. Anyway She's been such a sweet big sister! We are super lucky that litle K is loving to her and not trying to beat her up, well at least not yet!

Baby A was born on December 31 at 4:07 am was 7lbs 7oz and was 20 inches long! She has thick black hair and is super cute! I will post more later just wanted to share the news!

CHRISTMAS TIME!

Christmas was so different this year. It's hard being away from family. We really missed them all but we still had a great time. Christmas eve we open PJ's and then mine went straight to my hospital bag. I'm excited to have something comfy to wear after having the baby! On Christmas day we got up and had breakfast. I was going to make a big breakfast but really wasn't feeling well so we settled for something easy. We than talked to Brians family and opened presants that they had sent to us over skype with them and than we did the same thing with my parents. It was nice to be able to still share some of the day with our families, what a blessing it is to have a web cam! Baby K was so fun to watch opening her gifts, she would love them after she opened them. I think her favorite toy was the barrel of monkeys that Brian got from his little brother. Anyway here are some of the pictures of Christmas!

Baby K climbing in drawers. You can't see but there isn't a bottom drawer, I had taken it out so she wouldn't climb in the rest. Well she figured out how to climb in the middle one. Meeting with the Missionaries

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about our friends that went to church with us. Well they went again last week and agreed to meet with the sisters. They met with them yesterday at our house and we had a good discussion. They agreed to read the Book of Mormon and pray and also watch the movie Testiments. They are going to go to a baptism this next weekend and then talk to the sisters again. It's so fun to be helping with Missionary. We are really excited and hope they continue their intrest in the gospel.

Christmas Party and Brithday Party

Brian and I got invited to a Christmas Party in San Antonio this weekend and had a great time! It's about an hour and a half drive to San Antonio we drove down there with our friends Antonio and Monica. It didn't seem like a long drive at all. I was actually amazed! At the party there was some really good food, I really enjoyed the queso dip someone made. After everyone had gotten something to eat they did a white elephant gift exchange. I was fun. There were some really great gifts and some really lame ones. Brian and I both got gifts that we liked. The only down side to this party was that we only knew a few people, by the end of the night I had met a lot of new people but I can't remember their names at all. The only person I remember is this Guy Edmund. Brian and I sat and talked to him for a while. We learned that he was from Sweden and was living in San Antonio going to school on a schoolarship for running. He's a sprinter. We also learned that he was LDS. He was suprised that we were too. At the end of the night baby K had all of the attention. She was crazy hyper and so cute. I'm kicking myself for not taking pictures but what can I do now.
Saturday night we went to a Brithday party and Gabriel and Brittany's neighbors. They always have good parties. They always have good food, everyone brings food and it's always different then the last party. We have become friends with Tony and Theresa (the neighbors) They are such a fun couple and are very accepting of everyone! It's nice to be able to get out and have fun, it's great to have friends who want us around to party with! All in all it was a great weekend!

New yet old friends

I was so suprised tonight at my Enrichment Christmas dinner when I turned around in my chair and saw one of my old friends sitting at the table next to me. I said her name and then we had a great little reunion. Her name is Susie. I worked with her at TJ Maxx before either one of us got married. We used to hangout back when and always had fun. Anyway she and her husband moved here recently and we just ran into each other. It's amazing. It's so nice to have a friend in the ward that I don't have to completely get to know. She is so fun and super cute! I'm so glad to have another friend here in Austin. Lets just hope now that her husband and Brian will become great friends. That would be awesome! What a blessing it is to find good friends and run into them when you need them the most!

Missionary Work

Brian met this couple this summer while I was visiting Utah. They have become some good friends of ours. They are such a cute couple and best thing is they live in our apartment complex. This last weekend Brian went to a meeting with them and on their way home they had told Brian that they had been invited to church by some elders. They had some questions and Brian answered them and then invited them to go with us to our ward. (The elders are in a different ward, we have some awesome sisters!) We all went to church yesterday and it was great! They seemed very interested. I was so happy. I was suprised that they already had some Book of Mormons and that they brought them with them.

We've been able to talk to them a little bit about some things. We were looking at some pictures one day and came across our Sealing pictures. I was able to tell her a little about our temples. Brian has talked to him a few times about various things. It's been such a great experience and we hope that they want to go with us again to church and learn more! We are both excited to be able to do some missionary work while we are here.

Halloween was such a blast. We all had so much fun dressing up. We went to a party at Gabriel and Brittany's neighbors. It was a lot of fun. I forgot my wings I was suppposed to be a fairy princess instead I called the Pregnant Prom Queen. I thought that was hillarious. Brain didn't want to dress up so much so he wore pj's and decided that he was "dead tired". Baby K's costume was a Bat Witch or something to that effect. Gabriel and Brittany were Cowboys and Baby B was a M&M. The party we went to was awesome. They went all out on decorations and such. I'm sad I didn't get some pics from the party but oh well now. We stayed out way to late on halloween but it was so fun to be out with a bunch of crazy adults. Hope you enjoy the slide show of us all dressed up!

I was watching tv today when I saw Baby K sit in this dish. I thought it was hillarious so I took some pictures to share with you all. This dish used to hold all of my measuring cups and spoons but she now thinks they are her toys and I can't ever find the one I need. She can sit and play with them for hours, it's such a great inexpensive toy!

Thanks mom for tagging me, I however am still blog illiterate and I don't have any links to anyones blogs so this will be stopping with me. I still want to share with you all the few things that are required with this tag.

1.I only have 3 molars. My bottom left molar never grew in, it's totally weird, but cool. I guess it's not a very common thing at least that's what the dentist and orthadonist said. I haven't ever had problems with it and I think it's funny.

2.I love being able to lounge around all day in my pj's. I figure that since I have no where to be and no one comes to see me that I will just hangout in Pj's. They are so comfy and I love them.

3.I hate shopping. I think it's a waste of time to walk around a store for no reason. Window shopping is the worse. Brian on the other hand loves it. He will want to go sometimes and I just have to suck it up and go with him. I like to know that I'm going for something in particular or at least have an idea of what I need or want.

4.I love reading, but I have found that it is so much harder to find the time to read a book with a toddler. Katrae and I read her books which is fun, but I miss my chapter books. I haven't been able to pick up a book since I read Breaking Dawn in Utah this summer. Hopefully I will be able to find some time to read again. I miss it!

5.Baking is one of my favorite things the only problem is I don't need all the sugar. I love baking just about anything. I have been trying new receipes and have found an awesome brownie receipe. Sometimes it seems like a stress relief. it's great!

6.Board games are absolutely fantastic! I love playing them, I miss the days when we used to play them all the time. Once again it's been soemthing that's a challenge with a child. She wants to play them with us too, which makes it that much more difficult. We play when we can.

7.I totally miss being a little kid. I love that carefree life and wish I could have that again. Being an adult as many of you know can be stressful and I don't like being stressed. It was always so fun being able to just go and hangout without worries. Maybe I just miss all those friends and the social life. You know me I have always been a social butterfly.

The Doctor Again

I can't believe I got stuck at the doctors office again. Today I had my monthly check up, I also did my glucose test as well. The doctors office I go to has a lab right there so they do things a little differently. On my last visit I got the drink for the glucose test and was told to have the test done the same day as my next appointment. It's nice that I only had to go to one place to do both. I had to have my blood drawn at 2:45 so I got to the lab about 2:35 so that I would have plenty of time so that I wouldn't have to redo this test. Once I got my blood drawn I went down to my appointment. I have awful luck at the doctors office. I waited for over an hour just to get in a room. It was a little more challenging because I had Baby K with me. She is very intertaining and everyone in the waiting room just loved her. At one point she had everyone laughing. It was great, but still hard to keep her occupied. Once I got into my room I waited at least 20 more minutes before I got to see the Nurse. I'm hoping that I don't have to ever wait that long again. It's no fun being stuck in a doctors office forever! All in all with my blood being drawn and my appointment I was there for 2 hours. I have my next appointment in 3 weeks. Everything is going great! Baby is sounding good and other than being tired I feel great!

Dinner with the DeSimones

Last night Brian and I went and had Dinner with my dad's cousing Kellie and her family. It was so much fun. I have been to lunch a few times with Kellie but had never been to there house. They live about 30 minutes from us which really isn't all that far. I had never even been to south Austin so the drive to their house was great. I really like the area they live in it's beautiful. When we got there Baby K was so excited to be somewhere new, she went right to Kellie and followed her around the house the rest of the night. She was so cute! Kellie and Victor made us steak and potatoes. It was great. After dinner we played rock band it was fun. Brian and their oldest daughter Sara played the guitars, Victor played the drum and Kellie and I switched off singing. We are so lucky to have a little be of family live here. We really enjoyed going to their house and can't wait to go again!

Doctor visits and such

Both Baby Cakes and I had doctor appointements this week. Baby Cakes had her well check-up she is still small according to the charts but is growing. We didn't give her immunizations this time so it's nice not to have to deal with a crank y child due to shots. She's doing everything that she should be. She only weighs 17-9 and is only 28 1/2 inches tall.
My appointment took forever! After the nurse took my blood pressure and listened to the babies heart beat she said the doctor would be right in. Five minutes later she came back in and said that Dr. Mills had to go do a delivery but would be back as soon as she was done. I was there waiting in my room for nearly 45 minutes before the nurse came back in and said that Dr Mill's nurse could see me if I wanted. I didn't care so I said sure. She was in within a few minutes and I was gone in the next ten all in all I think I was there for over an hour. It seemed like forever! Everything is going well with this pregnancy, I'm right where I should be. Baby seems to be growing and has a good heart beat. She is very active already.
Brian has been doing a cleanse the last week and isn't really enjoying it but is hoping that it will help him feel better on average once he's done with it. Other than that things are going good here and we are enjoying life as much as possible.

Katrae's birthday on saturday was wonderful! We had fun giving her cake, it took her a bit to finally dig in but when she did she loved it. She started off by trying to pick off the individual sprinkles but gave up on that and moved onto the frosting, she finally figured out that there was more there than that. It was so fun watching her destroy her cake! It was so much fun. After her cake we opened presents she had fun tearing the pink wrapping paper! I can't believe she's one but she is so much fun. She's walking more and doing all sorts of things that baby's do.
