So much to catch up on......

There is so much that has happened since the last post. (I know it was like 2 years ago!) I don't think I have time to write that much so here are a few things happening now.
 Little miss Trae started 2nd grade today!!! I think that is the biggest thing! I love how big she is getting and how smart she is! She was super excited to go to school today! I just hope she loves her new class and teacher!!

Little miss Adi will start kindergarten next week!! I can't wait!! She absolutely loved preschool last year and is going to love kindergarten just as much!!! She also loves to help in the kitchen. I think she's going to be my little chef!!

Little man Jax is now potty trained!! I am thrilled that I don't have to buy and change diapers anymore!!! He is such a character. He is always doing something strange and very boy. He is super smart! (too smart for his own good) 

As for Brian and I we are both working and we don't get to spend a lot of time together during the week but we are doing awesome! We just celebrated our 8 year anniversary! He suprised me with a trip to cancun for all of the holidays between my birthday and our anniversary! It was so much fun and the much needed vacation for just the 2 of us! 

Days 20 and 21

Day 20, I am thankful for some of the most amazing friends! I can name several that have helped me through many difficult times. I wish I live closer to some of them. I wish that we talked more too,  but I really do love them! I am thankful that even though they may live many miles away we can still pick things up like there has been no time lost! I am also thankful for the new friendships I have made especially the ones at school! I truly have been blessed with amazing friends throughout my life and I'm sure I will continue to make more!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!! Thanks for always being there for me!

Day 21 I am thankful that I have been blessed with a positive out look in life!! I know that this has come through by the way I was raised, the experiences I have had, and many other things. I really do strive to be positive and I will continue to do such! I really love surrounding myself with positive people as well!

Days 17, 18, and 19

Day 17 Today Adi is thankful for Christmas. Because a lot of people like Christmas. I love Christmas, I love the feeling around this time of year. I am thankful for the time and memories we get to spend together.

Day 18 I am thankful for games. Board or card game, video games ( I honestly never thought I would say that) I am so many great memories playing any of the mentioned games. I love being able to play a simple game with my kids or playing games with Brian, or with my family and friends.

Day 19 I know that Brian has mentioned a few times in the last week that he has been thankful for instant hot water. Since he works outside all day I know he appreciates being able to come home and take a nice warm shower without having to heat his own water. I really don't know if I would have had the patience to boil my water to get warm water for bathing. I think it is something we all take advantage of. I am also thankful for this. It really does make doing dishes and laundry so much easier too!

Day 16

Today I thought I would ask the kids what they are thankful for just to change things up. We are sitting down for lunch and I asked them what they are thankful for. At first Trae just looked and me and shrugged her shoulders and preceded to tell Adi to do the same thing. However after a minute Trae then said she is thankful for cleaning. She is thankful because it is makes her feel good and happy and because it make me happy.  I really couldn't have picked a better thing to be thankful for. I really do love having a clean house and the kids have been helping so much more lately keeping it clean. I love that they are starting to realize that if we have a clean house then mom is much happier.  I am so thankful for cleaning but along with that I'm thankful that I was taught to clean thoroughly  I am thankful for a mom who made me re-clean things if they were not up to her standards. (I will regret saying this out loud I'm sure!!) I know that thing are a whole lot more peaceful and happy when things are clean!! I am so happy that this is what Trae is thankful for today! I just love how much she is growing and learning!

Days 13, 14, and 15

Day 13 I am thankful for clean water! I know that I take that for granted. It's so easy to forget that there are people in this world who do not. I love being able to drink it, do the dishes, wash laundry, take showers with it. I know there are so many other things that we use it for and for that I am thankful that we have clean water.

Day 14 I'm thankful for books! I love being able to pick up a book at any given time and just sit down and read it. It may only be a couple of lines before someone interrupts me. I love love love reading! There are so many things that books can teach us all we need to do is pick on up and read. I hope that one day my kids will have the same love for books and reading I do.

Day 15 I'm thankful for movies! One of my favorite things to do is go to a movie with Brian. We haven't been able to do that much lately and there are so many good movies coming out right now too, but it will always be one of those things I really enjoy! I love that my kids can really get into movies and that they will sit still through them too!

Day 11 and 12

Day 11 I'm thankful for inspiration. I love being inspired to do something no matter how big or small it may be.
 

Day 12 I am thankful for living in a place where we get to experience the different seasons in all of the glory. I love all of the seasons and I am so exited for it to be winter, other than having to drive home in the dark at nights after school.  I look forward to all of the wonderful memories that can be had during the different times of the year but as for now I can't wait to go play in the snow with the kids!! It's going to be a fun winter!!

Day 10

Today I am thankful for a

I never thought I would ever be thankful for SCHEDULES but I am! It's so nice having something to stick to everyday. I am not one to say it has to be done at the exact time everyday because I could not function like that but I do like knowing what is going to be happening next. It has not been easy for me to get into the habit of keeping the schedule and there are things that I just can't add to it because things do vary from day to day. It's been so much easier on the kiddos too! It really has taken Brian and I a long time to get one but I am thankful that we do have one now.  I think the hardest thing was getting into a bed time routine with the girls. We had to take baby steps with them since we didn't have one when the were little. It was so nice the other night when we had a good friend come see us to just be able to put the girls to bed and not have to stay in the room with them like we used to. I know we have had the same schedule for a long time now at least when it comes to bed time but I am so so so so so so thankful for the time we took to finally get something to work for our family. I know we will have to revise it quite often as the kids get older, but I am ok with that. I really could go on and on about how much I am thankful for schedules but I won't tonight.
